Technical Documents
This section contains a variety of PDF documents aimed to aid the maintenance, restoration and overhaul of preserved railcars and their components. It is mainly aimed for maintenance staff at heritage lines. Many are historical documents by British Railways but there is also some preservation era material created by TRA members. All documentation must be taken in good faith and is designed to aid undersdtanding. TRA accepts no responsibility for these documents and all information must be used in conjunction with the railway's Safety Management System and the competence of staff.
The documents are split into main (red) and sub (blue) catagories. Brief descriptions, BR document numbers and class relevence are shown where possible/practical (extinct classes omitted). This section is a "back up" to a similar (and more comprehensive) section of the historic railcar website, which can be found at railcar.co.uk/documenation.
