Private Site: Allelys Heavy Haulage
The Allelys Group has grown to be one of the largest haulage and transport companies in the United Kingdom. Specialists in transport and a firm favourite for Heritage Railways moving stock, the firm can frequrently been seen moving everything from humble wagons to the most famous of steam engines round the UK.
The firm have completed many railcar movements, as many of the places the vehicles are moving to/from are not connected to the national network. In any case, few DMUs in preservation are certifird to me moved across the mainline.
Being a haulage company, the firm has extensive yards up and down the UK, some of which have been used at various times to store DMU vehicles, usually examples which are nomadic or for sale.
