Preservation Information Preserved in 1999, the vehicle was always intended to be a source of spare parts, and provided components for the restoration of Class 122 vehicles 55001 & 55003 and Class 117 DMS 51400. During the 2000’s, the vehicle was progressively stripped, finally being removed from the railway in March 2012. The vehicle's loss is not of national significance as Class 117 DMBS vehicles remain common in preservation. |
