Preservation Information
Little is known about 52061, but it was bought for preservation in 1997 (in common with many Class 108 vehicles) and moved to the Swansea Vale Railway with DMBS 50982.

It is thought the set never ran at Swansea and was stored along with several other sets on site where its condition deteriorated. In 1999 its partner was scrapped leaving the vehicle with an uncertain future.

It was reported that the vehicle had been dismantled for spares in the summer of 2002.

52061 had little historical significance and many Class 108 DMCL vehicles still survive, the class being one of the most numerous in preservation.
