Rushden Transport Museum
The Rushden Transport Museum has been the home of the Rushden Historical Transport Society since 1984, and they operate from their base at Rushden station (purchased in 1996) which ahs been beautifully restored.
Their modest running line is located on part of the Wellingborough to Higham Ferrers branch line in Northamptonshire.
A newcomer to the DMU scene, they preserved a departmental Class 121 in 2010 and are busy returning it to passenger carrying condition. In the meantime, passenger services are operated by steam and diesel locomotives.
