Preservation Information
144008 was the 10th Class 144 to be preserved and the first to be split into its two cars and sent to different community homes. The first half to be delivered was the DMSL (55831) which found a home with the Corby & District Model Railway Society at their West Glebe Park headquarters in Corby. Some six months later, following storage at Worksop depot, DMS 55808 was similarly moved into position by road to Fagley Primary School in Bradford.

Future Plans
Fagley Primary School plan to use 55808 as a science classroom, whilst the CDMRS plan to use 55831 for birthday parties and other events.
