Preservation Information
55020 was one of a pair of Class 121 vehicles which were the very last first generation railcars to operate on the mainline, the vehicle not being retired until as late as 2017.

Preserved soon after withdrawal, 55020 was moved to its new home the Bodmin & Wenford Railway in October, fully operational and available for passenger service. It replaced a Class 108 2-car set which the railway had been running for many years.

55020 ran its first trains in preservation passenger service in March 2018, less than a year after carrying its last mainline passengers.

55020 currently operates regularly on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway running off peak and supplimentary services.
