Preservation Information
143619 became the 12th of the class to be preserved after the Tanat Valley Railwaysecured a third and final 143 set for its modest line, the other two being ex-Arriva sets, in contrast to 143619 which was a former Great Western Railway unit.

However 143619's time at Tanat was not particularly successful, with the set not working any passenger services or receiving any overhaul work, instead remaining in storage.

After four years in storage, 143619 was sold and moved to the Cambrian Railway where it became the fourth set to be based at their Oswestry headquarters, which had been rapidly expanding its DMU fleet.

Future Plans
Following maintenance it is expected for 143619 to enter service as soon as possible, for the first time in preservation.
