Preservation Information
59518 was “preserved” by the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway in 1999, moving from Old Oak Common.

The vehicle was already missing its windows and doors and was stripped of its bogies, underframe components, seats and wooden window surrounds before being quickly cut up.

59518 had little historical significance and several Class 117 TCLs still survive, the class being one of the most numerous in preservation.
