Preservation Information
Withdrawn in February 1993, 51367 was preserved on the Northampton & Lamport Railway and became part of Matthew Smith’s fleet. It is at the NLR that the vehicle was paired with its preservation partner, DMS 51402. The vehicle was also repainted into BR Green with plain end.

In 2005, the set was sold to the Blue Square Heritage Group, who relocated both vehicles to their base at the Strathspey Railway, where they immediately entered service.

Whilst in traffic operating all the off peak services on the Strathspey Railway with 51402, the vehicle received some bodywork in preparation for a repaint.

In 2011, the vehicle was fully repainted into green with speed whiskers to match 51402 which had received the same treatment in 2009.

In August 2012, the vehicle (which had an isolated No2 engine for some time) was returned to two working engines after the defective example was changed.

In 2018, the cab walls and guards van floor were repainted.

Future Plans
It is planned that 51367 will continue to operate off-peak services on the Strathspey Railway with partner 51402. The set will be increased to a historically accurate 3-car formation once the restoration of TCL 59511 is completed.
